The Mystery of Kitties attacking Bag
I guess i should start blogging about the new additions to my lil family. We adopted Dawn & Dusk from the Edmonton Humane Society 26 days ago on 23rd October 2009. Since then i've been going around telling stories about these two lil kitties to friends and family as if i was their proud mama. *lol*
I had my bag near the dining room table for a couple of days and for those couple of days Dawn and Dusk would attack my bag as if there was something in the bag that they wanted to get to. So we did what we would do if we didn't want them to be doing something - either a firm "No" and walk towards them or a firm "No" followed by a squirt from the spray bottle. Needless to say they've learnt to stay away once we do say "No" loudly but 5 secs later they would be back and doing the same thing all over again. So i started zipping up my bag fully and just left it where is was since we didn't go out for those couple of days. At the same time, i notice that their lil felt mouse toy which Dawn likes to play fetch with has somewhat disappeared. Hubbie had told me previously, that they would play with a toy till it goes under a place they can't reach and would just leave it there. The mouse has also been battered to an extent that it looked really pathetic. So i brought out another felt mouse from the pack of 4 i bought. And or course Dawn and Dusk played happily away with the new toy.
A couple of days later when we actually decided to head out to do some shopping or catch a movie and i was packing my bag with the essentials (toque, scarf, gloves, lip balm, camera, water....) before we walked out the door. As i was packing my bag, guess what i saw? Yup! The battered felt mouse i thought was missing under the sofa or some knook and cranny somewhere in the condo. *lol*
So i guess that solves the mystery of why my kitties were attacking my bag. *grin*

you forgot to mention how after we took the mouse of your bag and threw it to play fetch with them, Dawn kept returning with the mouse and kept trying to put it back in your bag and not at our feet to throw again.
